I joined the school's Alumni Office in 2011, when my children were happily making their own memories in The Elms Junior School. Since then, my involvement in school life has grown in ways I couldn't have imagined. Alongside my Alumni Relations role, I joined the boarding community as a duty tutor in 2017 and in September 2023 I became a Sixth Form tutor, a role that allows me to guide students as they prepare for their next steps and life beyond Trent, and to understand first-hand what our future alumni value and need from their school, the OT Network and the Old Tridents' Society.
My children are now Old Tridents. My daughter Robyn (Class of 2019) is undertaking the MSc in Adult Nursing and my son Ben (Class of 2023) graduated Loughborough University in Sport & Exercise Psychology and is pursuing a career in professional cricket performance analysis. Being both a Trent College member of staff and a parent of OTs gives me a perspective that is personal as well as professional.
It is a pleasure to work alongside the Trustees of the Old Tridents Society, supporting their efforts to further the interests of Trent College and strengthening the bond between former pupils and the school. I act as the principal liaison between the Society and Trent College, and provide guidance on alumni engagement, communications, events and initiatives as well as administrative support.
