The second Old Tridents Golf Society Golf Day took place on Sunday 26 October at Hollinwell (Notts Golf Club), with 24 players including Old Tridents, parents, and current pupils coming together for a relaxed Betterball Stableford competition.

The course looked superb in its autumn colours, and the weather was kind enough to let everyone enjoy a wonderful day of golf and good company. Among the players were current students Isobel (Year 13) and Henry (Year 11), who both represented the school brilliantly and added a youthful energy to the fairway.

The event was all about friendly competition and camaraderie, with plenty of light-hearted chat, a few standout shots, and the usual mix of near misses and unexpected brilliance. It was a pleasure to see familiar faces reconnect and new friendships begin across generations of the Old Trident community.

Adam Hinchley (class of 2010) and Matt Howard (class of 2021) took top honours with an excellent score of 45 points, showing great teamwork and consistency throughout their round.

Organiser, Jon Carter (class of 1988) praised members and staff of Hollinwell, who made everyone so welcome: "Their efforts behind the scenes ensured the day ran smoothly, and their hospitality was very much appreciated by all who took part."

Jon said: "It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, full of good spirits and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event, as this annual tradition continues to grow."
